2017 Rede EcoVida Conference
- Date: - (all day)
- Location: Erexim, Brazil
Every two years the Rede de Agroecologia EcoVida conference brings together smallholder farmers and grassroots organizations to learn from each other about sustainable cultivation.
This year is the 10th gathering of the agricultural network. At the Inter-American Foundation, we will sponsor 34 of our grantee partner organizations to attend the conference. This sponsorship amounts to 60 individuals from Central American and South American countries attending in addition to our own foundation representatives, local liaisons and other staff.
Just over 40 percent of our grant portfolio is wholly or partially focused on sustainable solutions for smallholder agriculture. This conference gives us and our grantee partners a chance to connect, network and continue to learn. The practices and products that EcoVida attendees share help ensure food security, protect the environment and conserve resources such as land and water.
