The Inter-American Foundation joins hundreds of Honduras in mourning the death of Céleo Álvarez Casildo, Director of the Ethnic Community Development Organization (ODECO) and Executive Secretary of the World Summit of African Descendant Platform who died on April 11, 2016. A strong champion of Afro-descendents rights, Mr. Casildo leaves a legacy that remains important for Honduras and for the world. We offer our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
