Argentina’s Chaco region is one of the driest and most economically challenged regions of the country. Asociación de Pescadores del Chaco (ASOPECHA) is a fishers association that promotes fisheries conservation along the Paraguay River and its tributaries and helps create income generating opportunities for its members. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to expand economic opportunity in Argentina. ASOPECHA’s activities bolster efforts to protect the natural resources that communities depend on.
