Project Description

Small business initiatives in isolated regions of Argentina often lack know-how to access new markets. Asociación Cultural para el Desarrollo Integral (ACDI) works with a network of producer organizations to create business plans and strengthen their management and technical capacity to attain new markets for their socially responsible and artisanal products. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to expand economic opportunity in Argentina. ACDI’s activities encourage small business growth, local entrepreneurship and market development to ensure meaningful opportunities for communities to thrive.

Project Amendments

This amendment provides ACDI an additional six months and $24,450 to support a national network of 19 grassroots producer groups in adapting their production, marketing, and sales in response to the COVID-19 pandemic crisis and its aftermath. The network produces a variety of products including organic and artisanal cured meats, fruits and vegetables, honey, spices, crafts, and clothing. The project is helping network members generate income so that they do not have to commute or migrate from their communities to look for work, and developing new marketing channels to reach consumers directly and improve consumers’ food security.
