Impoverished youth from rural Santa Fe province in Argentina face challenges such as lack of employment or educational opportunities, which perpetuate the cycle of poverty and increase their vulnerability to violence or drug abuse. At the IAF, we support community-led approaches to creating economic opportunities for youth. Our grantee partner, Asociación Civil Unión de Familias Organizadas de Pequeños Productores de la Cuña Boscosa y Bajos Submeridionales de Santa Fe (UOCB), offers youth from more than 30 rural communities in northern Santa Fe Province leadership and entrepreneurship training as well as financial and business support to launch youth-led small business initiatives that generate employment and strengthen community relations.
