Oruro women in mining communities have limited income and face safety-related challenges in their way of life. Centro de Investigación y Servicio Popular (CISEP) provides technical assistance and equipment to mining cooperatives to improve their productivity, occupational safety and environmental standards. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to expand economic opportunity in Bolivia. CISEP’s activities strengthen excluded communities so they can improve their living conditions and participate equally in a nation’s political, economic and social life.
