Family farmers and low-income urban groups in the northwest region of Rio Grande do Sul have limited access to employment and income-generation opportunities. Centro de Tecnologias Alternativas Populares do Rio Grande do Sul (CETAP) promotes the expansion of agroecological farming processing and improves the distribution and marketing of organic products. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to expand economic opportunity in Brazil. CETAP’s activities encourage small business growth, local entrepreneurship and market development to ensure meaningful opportunities for communities to thrive.
