Communities resettled in the semiarid region of Alagoas, in the Brazilian Northeast, face challenges to generate income in drought conditions. Centro de Capacitação Zumbi dos Palmares (CCZP) supports subsistence honey production, processing and marketing as a viable source of financial independence for families. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to expand economic opportunity in Brazil. CCZP’s activities promote smallholder agriculture and food production to enhance food security and ensure meaningful opportunities for communities to thrive.
