Community-based philanthropy is a growing field in Latin America and the Caribbean. Asociación Fondo Comunitario Monteverde para el Desarrollo Sostenible (FCM) facilitates partnerships and philanthropy initiatives that support community-based development programs. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to unlock private, public and community resources for grassroots development in Costa Rica. FCM’s activities further actions that make more resources available to communities seeking to address their own development needs.
This grant is part of our broader initiative to encourage innovative and entrepreneurial thinking to unlock private, public and local resources for grassroots development
