Family and sexual violence is widespread and systemic in the communities of Santiago and Moca. Núcleo de Apoyo a la Mujer (NAM) works with institutional networks and healthcare professionals that provide community-based responses to violence and promotes public policies that address gender equality and measures to prevent violence. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to enhance peace and security in the Dominican Republic. NAM’s activities strengthen communities through education and training and build peer-to-peer learning and action networks.
