Communities in Azua face diminished food supply and health issues and lack opportunity to participate in the local economy. Visión Social, Inc. works with organizations in Los Tramojos, la Bombita and Las Lomas to market locally grown and processed food products and provides technical assistance to develop knowledge in nutrition-related subjects. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to expand economic opportunity in the Dominican Republic. Visión Social’s activities promote smallholder agriculture and food production to enhance food security and ensure meaningful opportunities for communities to thrive.
