Project Description

San Alejo farmers face challenges in soil conservation and agricultural diversification that threaten their quality of life. Asociación de Desarrollo comunal Milagro de Dios (ADESCOMD) works with residents to diversify their crop production and protect their soil using organic fertilizer, natural barriers and reforestation practices. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to expand economic opportunity in El Salvador. ADESCOMD’s activities promote smallholder agriculture and food production to enhance food security and ensure meaningful opportunities for communities to thrive.

This grant is part of our broader initiative to support economic prosperity, democracy and governance consistent with the U.S Strategy for Engagement in Central America.
