Project Description

Salvadorans with disabilities have limited access to support services and associations that contribute to their quality of life. Fundación Red de Sobrevivientes y Personas con Discapacidad (Red de Sobrevivientes) promotes awareness of disability-inclusive development, supports local authorities to establish policies and practices, and provides technical assistance to members of grassroots groups. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to strengthen governance in El Salvador. Red de Sobrevivientes’ activities strengthen grassroots organizations through education and training and build peer-to-peer learning and action networks.

This grant is part of our broader initiative to support economic prosperity, democracy and governance consistent with the U.S Strategy for Engagement in Central America.
