Persons with disabilities (PWD) in El Salvador confront physical and mental health challenges to social and economic inclusion. Asociación Salvadoreña de Personas Ciegas y Discapacidades Múltiples para la Superación Integral (ASPCDIMSI) provides training and assistance to PWD in leadership, disability rights and jobs skills. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to expand economic opportunity in El Salvador. ASPCDIMSI’s activities support local entrepreneurship to ensure meaningful opportunities for communities to thrive. This grant is part of our broader initiative to support economic prosperity, democracy and governance consistent with the U.S. Strategy for Engagement in Central America.
