Smallholder vegetable farmers face barriers to selling their produce directly to wholesale buyers. Asociación Coordinación Regional de Cooperativas Integrales (CORCI) invests in the production of vegetables aimed at export markets and works to increase women’s participation within the organization. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to expand economic opportunity in Guatemala. CORCI’s activities strengthen communities through education and training and build peer-to-peer learning and action networks.
This grant is part of our broader initiative to support economic prosperity, democracy and governance consistent with the U.S. Strategy for Engagement in Central America.
