Farming businesses in Camp Louise and La Souffrière — particularly those run by women — need more efficient agricultural methods for the production, processing and sale of manioc, sweet potato, pumpkin and beans. Mouvement Paysan de l’Acul du Nord (MPA) provides technical assistance and management training to increase crop varieties and yields, supplement member-families’ income and promote women’s leadership and participation. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to expand economic opportunity in Haiti. MPA’s activities promote smallholder agriculture and food production to enhance food security and ensure meaningful opportunities for communities to thrive.
