Family farmers in southern and western Honduras struggle to produce adequate food to feed their families, earn additional income, and protect the resources upon which they depend. Asociación Nacional para el Fomento de la Agricultura Ecológica (ANAFAE) works with member organizations to promote sustainable and ecologically sound farming practices, strengthen learning methodologies, and build administrative and communications capacities throughout their 30 member associations. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to expand economic opportunity in Honduras. ANAFAE’s activities strengthen grassroots organizations through education and training and build peer-to-peer learning and action networks.
This grant is part of our broader initiative to support economic prosperity, democracy and governance consistent with the U.S Strategy for Engagement in Central America.
