Incomes and living standards are low for coffee farmers in Oaxaca, Puebla and Veracruz. Centro Internacional de Capacitación en Cafeticultura y Desarrollo Sustentable, A.C. (CICADES) works to strengthen coffee cooperative members’ sustainability, improve organic coffee production, and reach more competitive markets. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to expand economic opportunity in Mexico. CICADES’ activities promote smallholder agriculture and food production to enhance food security and ensure meaningful opportunities for communities to thrive.
