Hñañhu farmers in Cardonal, Hidalgo, struggle to combat environmental challenges, including poor water and soil quality from the overuse of chemicals that decrease income and food supply overall. Magueyal, Sujeto y Comunidad, A.C. (Magueyal) mobilizes community members to implement action plans and processes for increased and diversified organic farming methods that benefit the environment. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to expand economic opportunity in Mexico. Magueyal’s activities strengthen communities through education and training and build peer-to-peer learning and action networks.
