Project Description
Nicaraguan coffee farmers face economic challenges related to crop diseases and environmental degradation. Asociación de Cooperativas de Pequeños Productores de Café de Nicaragua (CAFENICA) provides technical assistance and credit to farmers to help increase their production and income for their families. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to expand economic opportunity in Nicaragua. CAFENICA’s activities promote smallholder agriculture and food production to enhance food security and ensure meaningful opportunities for communities to thrive.
