Persons with disabilities in Matagalpa, Nicaragua face discrimination and barriers to accessing the employment, educational, and health services that would allow them to fully participate in their communities. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions that expand economic opportunity and promote social inclusion in Nicaragua. Our grantee partner, Asociación de Familias con Personas con Trastornos Psicóticos, Asociación Cuenta Conmigo (Cuenta Conmigo), represents people with mental illness and their families to raise awareness of their rights and connect them with local stakeholders and services that will help them integrate into society as fully as possible.
