Many Paraguayans encounter barriers to participate in civil society and in the decisions that impact community development. Federación de Entidades de Vecinalistas del Paraguay (FEDEM) provides training to community leaders and neighborhood association members on leadership concepts that promote greater participation in local decision-making and increased civic engagement. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to strengthen governance in Paraguay. FEDEM’s activities encourage civic participation to advocate for government accountability and transparency.
