Smallholder farmers in Paraguay often need technical support and training to help them increase yields while protecting their health and the environment. Asociación de Productores Orgánicos (APRO) provides training to smallholder farmers in organic agricultural techniques and helps them market and sell their organic agricultural products in order to generate income. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to expand economic opportunity in Paraguay. APRO’s activities promote smallholder agriculture and food production to enhance food security and ensure meaningful opportunities for communities to thrive.
