Isolated smallholder farmers in Paraguay often struggle to obtain technical assistance and microcredit to transition out of subsistence farming. Cooperativa Ciervo Cuá (Ciervo Cuá) is a small dairy cooperative that works with Alter Vida to improve dairy production and gain business management skills in order to increase its members’ income. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to expand economic opportunity in Paraguay. Ciervo Cuá’s activities encourage small business growth to ensure meaningful opportunities for communities to thrive.
