Project Description

Smallholder producers and field workers in Sullana district, Piura, face crop management and commercial challenges to increase their income from the sale of bananas. Asociación de Pequeños Productores de Banano Orgánico Samán y Anexos (APPBOSA) provides technical assistance to develop skills in business and marketing and to help farmers increase the production and export of organic bananas. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to expand economic opportunity in Peru. APPBOSA’s activities promote smallholder agriculture and food production to enhance food security and ensure meaningful opportunities for communities to thrive.
