Low-income neighborhoods in Paysandú face environmental challenges such as flooding and sewage overflow. Movimiento 24 de diciembre (M24D) enables residents to develop strategic planning and management skills, participate in community improvement projects and enhance their access to decent housing and a healthy environment. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to strengthen governance in Uruguay. M24D’s activities further actions and institutions that make more resources available to communities seeking to address their own development needs.
