Finance and Budget Analyst
Daniel Ocañas joins the IAF in the fall of 2019. His civilian federal career began in 2016 as an intern at the Pentagon during his junior year at George Washington University, preparing key materials for the Presidential Transition team. During his senior year of college, he interned at the Department of the Treasury implementing process improvements for the Treasury Chief Learning Officer. Completing his senior year, he was accepted into the Pathways internship program at the Department of Labor, Office of the Chief Financial Officer, as a Financial Management Specialist. He served as a musician in the U.S. Army from 2002 to 2014 and earned a Bachelor in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the George Washington University. Daniel is originally from Texas and grew up traveling around the U.S. in a military family. He enjoys spending time with his family, attending concerts and reading.
