Associate General Counsel
Natalia Mandrus joined the IAF in September 2014 as Associate General Counsel, where she has assisted the General Counsel in providing legal and policy advice to the Board of Directors, management team, and staff. Before the IAF, Natalia worked at the Department of the Interior, Office of the Executive Secretariat. She has extensive experience in the Freedom of Information Act, federal administrative law, and international law.
A Miami native with Cuban parents, Natalia is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Portuguese. She received her J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law in 2009 and her B.A. in Political Science and International Studies from the University of Miami in 2006. In the summer of 2015, Natalia began a book club “Brunching with Books” with friends after she and her family moved back to Miami. Natalia and her husband love to travel with their two toddlers, and they have already taken the kids to three countries and counting.
