Local Liaison for Honduras

Norman Sagastume has served as the Local Liaison and Advisory Service coordinator in Honduras for the IAF since 2011. In this capacity, he supports the IAF representatives for Honduras in the monitoring and administration of the portfolio and provides technical, logistical, and administrative assistance to the Honduras program. Norman also worked with the IAF as a Data Verifier monitoring and evaluating projects in Honduras from 2006 to 2010, and as a technical assistant to the IAF in the early 1990s. Norman is an agronomist with a master’s degree in Project Management from the Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana. He has 30 years of experience in community development, program implementation, and support of grassroots groups and NGOs in Honduras. In the course of his career he worked for the Swiss foreign assistance agency for eight years, coordinated a project for the UN Food and Agriculture Organization through the Asociación Nacional para el Fomento de la Agricultura Ecológica (ANAFAE), and supported community development efforts through the Centro Internacional de Información sobre Cultivos de Cobertura and the Instituto Hondureño de Cooperativas.
